Since last three years, all the Board of Directors has been working hard to improve the bank's functioning. Also, efforts are being made by implementing a collective speedy decision-making process regarding the acceptance of new technology and risk management for the progress of the bank, and all the necessary efforts are undertaken for the recovery of non-performing assets. Similarly, in new loan allocation, we are systematically scrutinizing loan cases and disbursing loans, strictly following all the norms as per the Reserve Bank circular. We are also taking utmost care to ensure that none of the new loan allocations are classified as non-performing assets, and the result of all this is a reduction in the net non-performing assets.
Currently, urban cooperative banks are facing many challenges, mainly due to cyber security, income tax burden, NPA recovery, increasing expenditure on modern technology, marketing, and competitive movement with private banks, payment banks. Despite this by managing risk appropriately, a total business of Rs. 109.18 crore has been done and a net profit of Rs. 27.63 lakh has been made.
Considering the risk management of assets as per the Basel Committee's guidelines and the provisions to be made for the same, NPA classification is now being done on an ongoing basis as per the new rules of the Reserve Bank of India. Our net NPA ratio at the end of March 2025 is 4.79 percent, which is a significant improvement over the previous year, and we are getting full support from all the board of directors and employees to ensure that we are fully successful in bringing the NPA ratio down to 3 percent, as per the Reserve Bank's target, in the coming months.
Members, account holders, depositors, borrowers, as well as officers and employees, all have made invaluable contributions to the progress of the bank. Members and customers are our gods.
Our goal is to provide financial services to all ordinary members through the bank, and everyone's participation and cooperation is very important in this.
